Mission: Possible

Delivering a clean energy future with global offshore wind

On 17 – 18 June 2025, RenewableUK is bringing the offshore wind sector and its global supply chain together to focus on delivering our ambitious missions for clean energy. We’ll take a look at the actions needed to reach 2030 offshore wind deployment goals around the world, and the part your organisation can play.

In this year’s theme, 'Mission: Possible', we have central focus on missions. This aligns with the UK Government's ‘mission-driven’ framework for achieving long-term change. Offshore wind is key to achieving many of the collective missions we all share – from the UK’s drive to become a clean energy superpower, to the global drive to achieve net zero.

Achieving these missions will be challenging – and the stakes are high. However, we want to recognise they are all possible with the right set of actions.

Global Offshore Wind

Opening keynote

Our opening session will reveal insights into the state of play and global trends shaping the future of offshore wind. RenewableUK’s Deputy CEO Jane Cooper will discuss all this with a high-profile speaker (to be confirmed). A look at the data from EnergyPulse during the session will outline where we are, and where industry needs to get to for 2030.

Mission briefing: updates from evolving UK and global institutions in energy and infrastructure

2030 is now less than five years away. By this date, 95% of the UK’s electricity should come from clean sources – an ambitious but possible target, which will require an acceleration of offshore wind deployment. To set the wheels in motion, the UK has established new bodies, among them Great British Energy and the National Energy System Operator, while working with established institutions like The Crown Estate. But growing the sector is not just about the UK; offshore wind projects need international collaboration to move forwards.

To provide attendees with the context to understand the ever-changing landscape, our conference will open with a series of presentations from experts from leading energy and infrastructure institutions – representing both the UK and global picture. They will outline their progress and offering a forward-looking view of the years to come.

Supported by the expertise of RenewableUK, and our event partners, subsequent talks and panels across two days will foster discussions about the practical steps needed for the industry to grow and flourish.

Build new partnerships – from local to global

As our event’s name suggests, the supply chain for offshore wind is global in nature.

Part of RenewableUK's mission is to champion the UK’s leadership in offshore wind, ensuring our contributions make a difference in local and global markets. That said, the UK is also a hub of investment from around the world, and many other countries have their own ambitious offshore wind goals – our conference and exhibition reflects this.

Last year, Global Offshore Wind featured participants from over 50 countries, and from every corner of the UK. From regional clusters to global pavilions, Global Offshore Wind 2025 is the perfect place to find the people and expertise you need.

Beyond the conference hall our exhibition space at London Excel, spanning 13,000 square metres, is an opportunity to network with innovative companies from around the world working in offshore wind.

Seeking new recruits

Having the right people available is a critical part of achieving our mission for offshore wind.

Perhaps where our mission differs from most movies is that there is no singular action hero responsible - this is a sector that needs everyone. The work that goes into delivering clean energy infrastructure often happens diligently, methodically and privately.
We’ll shine a light on some of this work throughout the conference, offering opportunities for attendees to learn and grow.

For any university or college students in training wishing to learn about the sector, we also offer heavily discounted student passes for full access to the conference and exhibition.

This year, we will be partnering this year with Bobby Moore Academy to teach students about careers in the renewable energy sector

Play your part, and make our mission possible

In summary, our mission is to achieve a cleaner energy future through a rapid acceleration of offshore wind in the UK, and other markets around the world.

Global Offshore Wind 2025 will provide the clarity your organisation needs to navigate the next steps.

If you want to play your part in delivering a clean energy future, we hope to see you there!

Registration is now open. With our exhibition sold out, delegate tickets are expected to sell fast.
