Our energy system is changing fundamentally, with renewables now providing over 50% of our electricity, and more areas of the economy, such as electric cars and heating, requiring the clean energy our sector provides.

Myth-busting: tackling misinformation

Although the UK public is overwhelmingly supportive of renewable energy, the sector has its critics. Whilst some provide valid arguments about how the industry could do better, many claims stem from misunderstandings or negative spin regarding how our energy system works.

As such, RenewableUK is working to build up a library of 'myth-busting' resources, to help our members correct the record and establish the facts with political stakeholders, decision-makers, and the general public.
