The Aviation Investment Fund Company Limited (AIFCL) was formed in 2009 as the wind industry funding body to support the various work streams under the Government’s Wind & Aviation Plan.


AIFCL aims to provide unbiased solutions to the wind industry to support the current and future development of the industry.

What are we looking for?


The AIFCL 2.0 launched at the RenewableUK Wind and Aviation event in May 2022, calling for the submission of new Business Cases from all onshore wind and aviation stakeholders .


There is a preference for joint-funding endeavours, for example with industry or government, as this allows funds to be spread across a greater number of initiatives for maximum benefit. However, this can be considered on a case-case basis.
