Creating the right conditions for a thriving UK supply chain and workforce
Supply chain and skills
About supply chain and skills
The growing supply chain for renewable energy includes the manufacture of wind turbine blades, towers, foundations and many other components, the fabrication of steel, cable production and all the services needed to develop, construct and operate renewable energy projects.
This has led to the development of notable industrial and innovation clusters across the UK. With world-class universities, testing facilities to support innovation and notable manufacturing and service companies operating in the UK, the entire renewable energy supply chain is already supporting many thousands of jobs.
Only with the right support and framework for investment will the UK’s workforce and supply chain realise its full potential.
